Everybody Needs A Good Hug!

Written by: Frank LaRosa 5:19 PM PST - 6/17/2008

Sun Mountain has done it again and this time you get a HUG, too. They've introduced a new HUG Carry System that transfers 60% of the weight of your golf clubs from your shoulders to your waist! The HUG Technology works in conjunction with dual bag straps, allowing the bag to be shouldered normally, then a “U” shaped HUG arm corresponding to your waist size is simply positioned around your waist. The result is reduced upper body fatigue and more upright posture.

Research showed that golfers carrying bags without HUG Technology walked with heads forward 25%. The further forward the head tilts, the more weight the neck and shoulder muscles have to support. With the HUG, that number is reduced to 4% and the weight is better dispersed throughout the body.

“The beauty of HUG Technology is the effectiveness and simplicity of the system,” explained Sun Mountain President, Ed Kowachek. “There are no belts, buckles or snaps; the HUG Arm simply fits around your waist in one movement. It can remove 10 - 15 lbs. from your shoulders, which makes a game improving difference.”

Sun Mountain's Superlight 3.5 with HUG Technology includes a built-in top collar handle, a six-way top with full-length dividers; seven pockets including a full-length clothing pocket, velour lined valuables pouch, and water bottle pouch; and Sun Mountain's Dual X-Strap system for balanced carrying in an easy-on/easy-off design. To get your HUG, visit www.sunmountain.com or see your local golf professional.
